The National Youth Council has a National Secretariat to assist it in carrying out its objects and functions under this Act. The National Secretariat is composed of an Executive Secretary and other staff of the Council.
The Roles of the National Secretariat are as follows;
- The National Secretariat shall have an Executive Secretary who shall be the Chief Executive Officer and also the Accounting Officer of the Council.
- The Secretariat shall keep a record of Council meetings;
- The Secretariat shall be the nerve centre of the implementation of policy decisions of the council and the day-to-day administrative operations of the council;
- The Secretariat is responsible for initiating programmes and plans in order to fulfill the objectives and functions of the Council
